Who we are

StoreMore Energy Solutions retrofits home battery storage onto existing solar installations. This policy covers storemoreenergysolutions.com and the quote request form on it. We are the business responsible for the information described below.

What you give us

Our quote form asks for the following. Only your name, email address, ZIP code and consent are required; the rest are optional and exist so we can give you a useful answer instead of a generic one.

• Your name and email address
• Your phone number, if you give it
• Your service ZIP code
• Your electric utility provider
• What you want the battery to do, and how you would prefer we contact you
• Anything you tell us about your existing solar system
• The fact that you agreed to be contacted, and when

What we collect automatically

When you submit the form, our server also records:

• Your IP address and your browser's user agent string
• The address of the page you submitted from, including any advertising parameters it carried — for example the click identifier added by Facebook or Instagram when you arrive from one of our ads
• The date and time of your submission

We do not use cookies, analytics or tracking scripts on this website. No page on this site loads any third-party code into your browser, and nothing is stored on your device. The values above are read from the request your browser makes when you press submit, and nowhere else.

Why we use it

• To answer your quote request and to contact you about it
• To design a retrofit that fits your existing system and your goals
• To keep our own records of the request and of what we told you
• To protect the form from automated abuse — your IP address is used to rate-limit submissions
• To measure which of our advertisements produced genuine enquiries, as described below

We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing email to people who have only asked for a quote.

Who we share it with

We share your information only with the service providers that make the quote process work:

• Vercel — hosts this website and runs the code that receives your submission.
• Google — delivers your request to our mailbox and stores it in Google Cloud so our team can work it.
• Meta Platforms — receives a measurement record when your request came from one of our Facebook or Instagram advertisements. This is described in full in the next section.

Advertising measurement

We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. So that we can tell which advertisements actually produce enquiries, our server sends Meta a record that a quote request happened. That record contains:

• Your email address, phone number, name and ZIP code — each one irreversibly scrambled using SHA-256 hashing before it leaves our server, so Meta receives a fingerprint rather than the value itself
• Your IP address and browser user agent, which are not hashed
• The Facebook click identifier, if you arrived from one of our advertisements

Meta uses this to attribute the enquiry to an advertisement and to improve who our advertisements are shown to. This happens on our server after you submit the form — no Meta code runs in your browser on this site.

How long we keep it

We keep your quote request for as long as we are working on it, and afterwards for up to 24 months from our last contact with you, so that we can pick the conversation back up and answer questions about what we quoted. If you become a customer, we keep the records associated with your installation for as long as we need them for warranty, service and legal purposes. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.

Your choices

Write to us at the address below and we will, without charge:

• Tell you what we hold about you
• Correct anything that is wrong
• Delete your information, unless we are required to keep it
• Stop contacting you

We will not treat you differently for asking. Every email we send you also has a way to tell us to stop.

Security

Your submission is encrypted in transit, and the mailbox and cloud storage holding it are restricted to the people who work your enquiry. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect and who can reach it.

Children

This site is meant for homeowners and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top of it. Material changes to how we share information will be described here rather than made quietly.
